Malcolm, he has be a white male, memorable and believable character aged between 30-55 . He needs to have comedy timing and a slightly nerdy disposition, super neat clothes/uniform as he is a store manager. He’s not very fashion-conscious, this can be showed through his hair/side-parting and the way he maintains it. He is not a total loner, but it’s important that he looks like a likable and approachable nerd. It’s equally important that he shouldn’t look like a plain-jane character; his look should be quirky, interesting and memorable. The needed character exposes quirky character assets in the casting, like blinking a lot or a unique walk.
